This course has been designed for those business continuity professionals who are required to undertake a Business Impact Analysis in their organization and are looking to enhance their skills and technique for this essential component of an organization’s Business Continuity Programme.

A Business Impact Analysis (BIA) is an essential component of any organization’s Business Continuity Plan (BCP).  Without it, the whole plan could fall over, jeopardizing the continuity and indeed survival of the whole business.

What does this course cover?
The course takes the individual through the steps required to develop a complete understanding of the BIA process, including the critical steps required to achieve a thorough understanding of the nature and operational requirements of an organization.

Using practical case studies based on real-life scenarios, individuals will gain practical insights into how to conduct a BIA within the context of a BCM Programme.

The course is classroom-based enabling individuals to benefit from an interactive learning environment with hands-on practical experience as well as peer-to-peer learning opportunities.
Topics covered are:

  • The BCM Lifecycle
  • The role of the BIA
  • How to conduct a BIA
  • A case study workshop

All instructors hold at least the MBCI Statutory grade.
